For my first picture, I was just trying to make it look better and more contrasted than the original. This was effective in just making it better than before. Along with, my highlighting of the whites, the background blending, and the attempt at shadows. 
For this one, I had tried to set the frame better by cropping out a lot of the extra space. I realized this when looking at the pictures in Lightroom and tried to offset it. I put it in the center, changed more highlights and shadows. This one isn't my favorite. The first one's definitely the better one of the group. 
For this one, I really tried to set that "romantic" tone. I messed with the tint and the colors. This may not have been very effective.
I had gotten these pictures through by using a Lightbox and some background paper. Then edited them in Lightroom. I did the "limbs" by taping paper in the shape of small rectangles to the "body."
